Radio Astronomy Institute to Locate Its Antenna Array In Beautiful Northeast Oregon

The preferred location for the land can be in the foothills  of the Blue Mountains near Pendleton, Oregon, or any other location east or south of Pendleton, and north or south of Interstate 84.

If you own land in this area, please donate a small portion of your acreage to RAI.  We don’t need much land and what you donate will be put to very good use. Each 12 meter dish occupies less than an acre.  We plan to install 30 dishes in 6 clusters. The distance between dishes will be one mile. The dishes work best in an open, flat valley surrounded by hills and mountains.

Also, Radio Astronomy Institute plans to locate its optical telescope on a mountain top in the same area.
